Harbor Recovery Center
New Beginning Recovery Hot Springs is situated in a beautiful wooded area just outside of Hot Springs National Park. We offer residential substance abuse and behavioral health services for men and women. This is a highly-structured living environment, consisting of up to six hours of group sessions daily, with weekly individual counseling and coaching sessions. A stay in residential care typically lasts about days, with some variation depending on progress made.
Additionally, some of our staff are trained in innovative modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT). Welcome to Harbor Recovery Center (HRC), where we provide comprehensive treatment for men over the age of 18 seeking recovery from substance abuse. At HRC, we are committed to utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients.
The center is also Medicaid/Medicare Certified and accepts overage from many private insurers. Sometimes a comprehensive assessment will indicate that outpatient treatment is the best place to start in the road to recovery. For those seeking intimacy, in-room dining and customized menus are available Thursday to Monday with 24 hours notice ahead. In our TL program, clients have the opportunity to transition back into independent living while maintaining a structured treatment regimen. Upon transitioning, clients commit to gaining employment and contributing to their rent expenses after the initial month. During this first month, clients focus on securing employment, supported by our staff. At HRC, we understand the importance of community support in the recovery process.

Our model is centered in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, or ACT– a mindfulness- and acceptance-based behavioral therapy that capitalizes on the person’s core values to create life-saving change. Supplemental groups on parenting, career & educational goals, anger management, and financial literacy–among other topics–are also provided in the residential setting. New Beginning Recovery is located in Hingham, Massachusetts, is a 142-bed skilled nursing center offering short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care. Distinctive services at New Beginning Recovery include the Short Stay Unit for post-hospital transitional care providing a specialized orthopedic program, cardiac & pulmonary care, post-operative recovery, wound care and diabetes disease management. We also offer Transitional Living (TL) housing services, on campus as well as in downtown Hot Springs, for those who complete residential care and wish to continue their treatment.
